Do Not Track guide
Last updated: July 5, 2026
MyEligible respects your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting. When DNT is on, anonymous usage counts on this site are turned off. The quiz, results, and Comfort page work exactly the same.
What MyEligible does when DNT is on
We do not send anonymous analytics events while your browser reports Do Not Track. No account is required either way, and your quiz answers still stay on your device.
Popular browsers
Browser makers change settings often. These steps were written for common desktop and mobile versions in 2026. When in doubt, use the official help link under each browser.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox still offers an explicit Do Not Track control. MyEligible reads it and skips anonymous usage counts when it is on.
- Open the menu (☰) and choose Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security in the left sidebar.
- Under Website Privacy Preferences, check Send websites a "Do Not Track" signal that you don't want to be tracked.
- Close Settings. You may need to reload MyEligible for the change to take effect.

Samsung Internet
On many Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, Samsung Internet includes a Do Not Track toggle.
- Open Samsung Internet.
- Tap Menu (☰) → Settings → Privacy and security (wording may vary slightly by version).
- Turn on Do not track (or Do Not Track).
- Return to MyEligible and reload the page.

Google Chrome
This browser no longer offers a simple Do Not Track switch. The steps below explain the limitation and practical alternatives.
Google removed the Do Not Track checkbox from Chrome. Tracking-prevention extensions or another browser (such as Firefox) are the practical options if you want MyEligible to honour a Do Not Track signal.
- Chrome no longer exposes a built-in Do Not Track switch.
- Use Firefox or Samsung Internet (above), or install a reputable privacy extension that sends a Do Not Track header, if you need that signal.
- MyEligible still works the same either way; only anonymous usage counts are affected.

Microsoft Edge
This browser no longer offers a simple Do Not Track switch. The steps below explain the limitation and practical alternatives.
Edge focuses on tracking prevention levels, which are separate from the Do Not Track signal MyEligible checks. Edge no longer offers a simple Do Not Track toggle in standard settings.
- Open Settings → Privacy, search, and services.
- Tracking prevention (Basic, Balanced, or Strict) blocks some trackers but is not the same as Do Not Track for MyEligible.
- For a Do Not Track signal, use Firefox or Samsung Internet, or a privacy extension that sets the header.

Apple Safari
This browser no longer offers a simple Do Not Track switch. The steps below explain the limitation and practical alternatives.
Safari on Mac, iPhone, and iPad no longer includes an "Ask websites not to track me" switch. Cross-site tracking prevention is related privacy protection, but it does not send the Do Not Track signal MyEligible checks.
- On Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy — you can enable Prevent cross-site tracking, but there is no Do Not Track checkbox.
- On iPhone/iPad: Settings → Safari → turn on Prevent Cross-Site Tracking if you wish; it is not Do Not Track.
- To opt out of MyEligible anonymous counts via Do Not Track, use Firefox or Samsung Internet on that device, or a supporting extension where available.

Other ways to reduce counting
You can also use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts, or turn off JavaScript (the quiz works best with JavaScript on). Hosting logs from our provider are separate; see our privacy policy for details. Privacy policy.
Check that it worked
After enabling Do Not Track, reload MyEligible and use the site normally. We cannot show a on/off badge in the page (that would require storing a preference), but no anonymous MyEligible analytics events are sent while DNT is active.
