Disability Tax Credit required; no separate supplement application
Your child needs an approved federal Disability Tax Credit Certificate for 2027, and your family must meet B.C. Family Benefit eligibility. Qualifying families do not apply separately: CRA determines the supplement after tax filing.
Separate from the Children and Youth Disability Benefit
You do not need to qualify for the needs-based Children and Youth Disability Benefit ($6,500 or $17,000) to receive this income-tested supplement. The two programs are separate.
