Frontline Navigator Pilot
Short practice exercises for social workers, navigators, and other frontline staff. Every scenario below is fictional. Use MyEligible journeys to practice finding a useful next action—not to decide real eligibility.
Orientation
Who this is for
Frontline staff, social workers, and navigators who help people find benefits, disability supports, medication access, or caregiver resources.
What to do
Choose one fictional case (about 5–10 minutes). Read the situation, open the linked MyEligible journey or read-only demo, and note one next action, what is still uncertain, and what you would ask or gather.
How to try it
Think about how you would usually orient someone, then use the suggested MyEligible surface the way a client might—or follow the facilitator prompts. Do not enter real client information anywhere.
What this exercise cannot show
It does not establish actual eligibility, an approved application, support received, proven impact, or an approved research study. MyEligible does not observe whether anyone completes an application or receives a benefit.
Facilitator guide
Run one case at a time in a team huddle or self-study. Ask participants to write notes on paper if helpful; do not collect or upload them.
- Confirm everyone understands the case is fictional and no real client details should be entered.
- Give 2 minutes to read the case card (knowns, unknowns, and task).
- Open the suggested MyEligible journey together or individually.
- Ask: What is one useful next action? Why? What remains uncertain? What would you gather or ask? What is the human handoff?
- Close by naming one official source you would verify before advising a real client.

Fictional exercise
ALS — new assessment, Ontario
Alex (fictional) is waiting for neurology follow-up after limb weakness. Employment is paused; they want to know what to explore while diagnosis is still underway.
Known in this fiction
- Living in Ontario
- Specialist assessment scheduled
- Work income recently stopped
Still unknown in this fiction
- Confirmed ALS diagnosis
- CPP/QPP disability eligibility
- Provincial disability program outcome
Practice task
Use the ALS support navigator as if Alex were exploring next steps while still being assessed. Note one navigation action and one human support contact—not a benefit approval.
In the navigator: choose Ontario, role “being assessed”, and concerns such as work/income and “unsure where to start”.
Official sources to verify
Facilitator checklist
- First action fits “being assessed” (not diagnosed-only assumptions).
- Human ALS organization contact is visible once.
- You can state what remains unknown without guessing eligibility.
- Fallback: ALS Canada or clinic coordinator if digital steps stall.

This pilot does not include forms, registration, uploads, or feedback submission. MyEligible may still process routine hosting logs; this page does not store exercise answers.
Reconstructed pilot (October 2026). This is not recovery of a prior unpublished commit; requirements come from the founder brief and internal ALS/frontline notes.
