Important timing

  • When a DTC eligibility period ends. Some disability tax credit approvals expire; CRA notifies you in advance. A new T2201 may be needed to keep DTC-linked programs. See the guide for renewal.

  • By December 31 of the year the beneficiary turns 49. RDSP grants and bonds can be paid only through that year. See CRA and the RDSP estimator for grant, bond, and contribution rules.
